Drip Coffee Maker
The one on the counter. Better than you think.

The drip machine is the most-used and most-underestimated brewer in the world. Most bad drip coffee is not the machine fault — it is the grind, the ratio, or the fact that the pot sat on the hot plate for two hours.
Start with fresh coffee and a scale. Sixty grams per litre of water, medium grind, fresh paper filter. Decant into a thermos the moment it finishes.
Do those three things and a small machine makes a serious cup.
